At Greensleeves we are your local lawn care experts, devoted to keeping lawns everywhere beautiful and healthy.

This is why we’ve built this FAQ’s page, to answer the questions that we often get asked and give you some useful bits of advice. Lawn care can be complicated, but we are here to help you on your journey to achieving your perfect lawn.

If you don’t find the answer to your questions below, then please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly team – we will be more than happy to assist you in any way we can.

All of our treatments are completely safe for children and pets long-term – a lawn is meant to be enjoyed after all! We may recommend leaving a short period of time before allowing children, pets, or grazing animals back on the lawn, to allow products to absorb or dry. Our experts will advise you on everything you need to know in this regard when they carry out your treatment.

While our late summer treatment gives your lawn the nutrients and TLC it needs, it’s vital that you continue to regularly mow and water your lawn to keep it healthy in between our visits. This is especially important during the hot summer months when just a few days without water could leave your lawn looking worse for wear! We recommend watering your lawn heavily once or twice a week at this time of year, rather than little-and-often, and if you have any questions about caring for your lawn then our experts will happily give you all the advice you need.

Our late summer treatment focuses on keeping your lawn green, avoiding scorching, and keeping your lawn healthy despite the summer heat. We achieve this by applying nitrogen-rich fertiliser which is packed with all the nutrients your lawn needs, alongside effective weed control.

We recommend that all lawns have a one-off late summer treatment, as it gives your lawn the boost it needs to keep it healthy for the rest of the season. However, in addition to our late summer treatment, we recommend regular lawn maintenance and watering to keep your lawn looking its best.
